Steve from Minerals Marketing approached Sempar in the first instance to discuss outsourcing the businesses finance function.  As we got to know Steve and the business we understood more deeply about the support he required.

Steve wanted to try and remove the day to day stresses, reduce his time in the business from a quality of life perspective and build an administrative and financial function that worked without his input.  This would allow Steve to reduce his time in the business and limit his involvement to areas where he was really effective and where he could really influence the businesses bottom line.

Sempar started by outsourcing the financial function and immersing itself in the detail of the business.  After a short while it was clear that the finance function could be much improved through automations, but to fully take advantage of this the base software needed changing from Sage to Xero.  Sempar migrated the businesses data, set up the new Xero software and trained the team. With this in now in place Sempar were then able to advise on automations saving valuable time.

The business had now transitioned from many manual processes to a more automated cloud based approach, the business was now data rich which began to fuel better decision making.

Sempar get to know all their clients deeply and part of this is understanding the personal goals dreams and then tailoring tax advice around meeting these in the future.

Sempar helped restructure his corporate structure to derisk his investment assets from the trade and build a structure that he fully understood and that would help achieve his long term goals.
