The Directors of Energy Bolting, Dan and Robin, engaged Sempar initially to provide FD services.  Offering strategic and financial support and challenge in board meetings and in the day to day.

Dan and Robin recognised the value in having financial expertise alongside them in the business.  Sempar has enabled decision making by supporting the Directors in making decisions, providing budgets and forecasts to monitor the business performance.

Sempar have helped digitalise the finance function from creating automations to building an enhanced reporting back that the Directors receive on a monthly basis.

From this FD foundation Sempar found themselves growing in their engagement to cover year end accounts and tax planning.  The tax planning started off with annual tax planning, sitting down with Directors each year to mitigate their exposure to tax both from a business and personal perspectives.

As the relationship grew and became more trusted, Sempar started to discuss goals and long-term ambitions with the Directors, helping them to understand personal lifetime income requirements and aligning these with the financial direction of the business. Alongside this, they helped the business restructure, enabling both Directors to have the opportunity to make investments independently.

In 2025 the Directors sold a significant interest in the business, Sempar assisted a smooth transaction from tax advice to due diligence, and continue to support the new owners and the original Directors, helping them with new tight group reporting and transitioning to new financial processes, maintaining credibility with the buyer at all times.
